Southland Purple Garlic is a purple-tinged, hard- necked variety, grown on the banks of the mighty Clutha River, just north of Millers Flat, in a special wee micro-climate.
This Southland Purple hard- necked variety has slightly less numbers of cloves per bulb then soft-necked varieties but the individual cloves are generally much bigger so are therefore easier for handling.
The Southland Purple variety has a flavour much like the American White, while also having the ability to enhance the taste of your favourite dishes, and best of all it is organically grown.
The Second Grade Garlic are the smaller bulbs or the bulbs missing a clove here and there , but they retain all the flavour and benefits of the 1st Grade Garlic
